Generations of young readers have cherished the spirited Depression-era adventures of The Boxcar Children, and now the Alden children's story comes to life on stage. Orphaned and in danger of being sent to different foster homes, the four siblings run away and make their home in an abandoned railroad boxcar. Pursued by the authorities and a mysterious stranger, the children discover the rewards and perils of life on the run, as well as the joy of keeping their family together.

The Saturday, January 21 show is now a 7:30 PM show instead of a 2:00 matinee.

The year is 1938. It's Saturday night in Mount Pleasant, NC, and the Reverend Oglethorpe has invited the Sanders Family Singers to provide an upliftin' evening of singin' and witnessin'. The audience is invited to pull up a pew and join in the rollicking good time. More than two dozen songs, many of them vintage pop hymns, and hilarious stories from the more or less devout Sanders provide a richly entertaining evening that has audiences clapping, singing, laughing and cheering.

It has been ten years since Tanner VanHorn, the praying man, first came to Belle Plains. But the clouds of evil are once again gathering. As T.J. Bonham lies dying, he tells Tanner a story of evil that he had long kept secret and exacts from Tanner a pledge to try and rectify the horrible deed and to find his two sons and tell them of Jesus. The force of evil is much greater than before, but never underestimate the power of prayer!

Eighteen-year-old Hope has graduated from high school and has beaten childhood cancer. She's making big plans for her life when life throws her a curve. As life hangs by a thread and her world is falling apart, she refuses to go down with it. She's making the best of a bad situation by spreading the fruit of the Spirit and the love of Christ to everyone around her.

Auditions are Sunday, April 22 at 3:00 and Monday, April 23 at 7:00 at the theatre.

Kent Rader

Kent Rader is known as the "World's Cleanest" comedian and speaker helping people learn and experience how laughter matters in reducing stress. Kent graduated from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri with a B.S. in Accounting. He survived five years in public accounting and twelve years as C.F.O. and C.E.O. of hospitals before becoming a professional speaker in 1997. Tom, a nerve-wracked school teacher nervous about his first day of teaching, tries to relax by watching TV when various characters emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music. The Emmy Award-winning 1970's Saturday morning cartoon series that taught history, grammar, math, science and politics through clever, tuneful songs such as "Lolly, Lolly, Lolly" and "Conjunction Junction" is lighting up stages everywhere, including Stained Glass Theatre Mid-Missouri.

This is a musical. We are looking for vocalists ages 13 and up. Individuals who are trying out need to prepare a piece (Broadway style preferred) to sing at auditions.

Maggie Maples couldn't wait to get to the beloved Koffee Shoppe that held so many pleasant memories of her past. For it was there she knew she would finally be able to finish the novel she had been trying to write for the last decade. The trip was twofold. It was also to be a gathering of all her kinfolks, including her wayward cousins, who were seldom mentioned or ever acknowledged by her "church-going-never-miss-a-Sunday" aunts. Unfortunately, no one could have anticipated what horrible fate soon would befall all of them. Maggie saw him first and when she could finally manage a scream, she gave it all she was worth. Help wasn't necessary though. It was a body and it was too late. Is this a mystery that might not ever be solved?
